So I am patiently waiting for the new MBP updates so I can buy one for my graduation. But as part of my graduation present to myself I want an iPod touch. Will they play off of each other well? any idea if the Touch will get an upgrade before May/June?

I to, am doing the same thing, but i am wating untill the multi touch trackpad MBP's come out, and as for the touch, it will work with the MBP perfectly. and the touch will mostlikely get an upgrade before then...

multi-touch is an awesome technology. Where has it been all of my life?

I haver both and they work great together. When I need to get work done on the go, I bring my MBP, but when I know I am just going to be checking my email and browsing (and listening to music) I bring my ipod touch, which is way smaller than any ultralight laptop.

both are awesome especially because you're going to college. im in the same situation and not worried at all that my iPod touch lacks edge. why? because 99% of colleges have campus-wide open wifi. a macbook pro would work perfectly with the wifi as well (I want a macbook air though... *lick*)

I would like an air too but I need the power of the MBP for work. Oh well I may just get one after college... or during...

I use my MBP for work, home functions where I need a keyboard; the rest of the time I use my touch. I can watch a movie or sporting event, but surf the web, check my mail or listen to music. I especially like using my iTouch with the streamingscores.com site to check scores throughout the day.
