i've been wanting to use the ipod touch like a portable USB like with past models, when you could simply drag items into the ipod icon on the desktop. though since i've had this touch, whilst it has always connected to itunes to update, an icon has never shown up on the desktop?

any help would be good, thanks.

The touch doesn't have a disk mode so it won't show up on your desktop.

There are many applications available that allow storage of files on the device.
