iPod touch Touch screen iPods and new Nano

New widscreen ipods may use touch instead of click wheels and the new nano will look a lot like this:Reply what you think.

But that's by the by - you need to do a search/look at the front page and realise there's a couple of hundred posts on this very thing.
Yes, I like the iPod touch idea, the new iPod nano is horrid in my opinion (Ive, if you had anything to do with this if it was a real product...). The virtual scroll wheel just seems silly. Why have a huge touch screen if you're only going to use a little circle of it... all the potential wasted. New iPods on tuesday...
I have not seen many threads with these pictures and Im wondering if people have any other idea on what new video iPods could look like.

I don't think the iPod will be like that, because multitouch eliminates the need for a click wheel at all. It will be like the iPhone probably. I don't think Apple will make an entire new design just so it is different than the iPhone.
Whoever did that fake needs to find a better hand model. One with five fingers would be preferable
I think we'll see not one but two nano models: one with the same thickness and width as the current nano (so it keeps the current size display and Click Wheel) but with about 5/8" lower height (available in 4 and 8 GB flash memory versions), and a new nano video that is the new model shown originally in the 9to5mac.com picture that can play videos (available in 8 and 16 GB flash memory versions).

In regards to the iPod. If it's anything like the iPhone i will get it in a nano second. If its not widescreen then i am just going to get an iPhone when they eventually get to Australia. I'd like to watch video on something larger than a postage stamp =(

If memory serves me, these very old "virtual click wheel" mock-ups were widely posted around here in late 2006. Everything old is new again.
