hi - I have an iPhone 6s that I've been using for a couple months (my daughter got to upgrade :). The screen and battery have been replaced (Staples) and the phone has been working fine.

Periodically, the touch screen stops responding - a reboot corrects this and until today, I could not determine what activity preceded the touch screen issues.

If I use Apple pay, the touch screen immediately stops responding - I cannot even swipe up to select a different credit card - I can pay by pressing the home button and using the default card. I cannot get the touch screen to respond again until I reboot.

Thanks for thoughts/suggestions. I searched a bit, have not seen anyone else reporting this - apologies if I missed a common thread.

Not Apple Pay related, but would seem to be similar: https://discussions.apple.com/thread/8077608

There's always a huge risk in having a third-party hardware replacement of something as integral as the touchscreen.

Agree, an Apple replacement screen would have been desirable, but this problem seems to be SW related since Apple Pay is the only activity that causes an issue and Apple Pay authentication is via the button, not the screen.

thx

PS - found this discussion - some speculation that 3rd party screens do not play well with iOS 11.x
