iPod touch Touch software 3.0 - now home button responsiveness is wonky

Hi,

Has anyone else run into this? My first-gen iPod Touch has always worked flawlessly - but ever since I updated to the 3.0 software, it's become hit-or-miss (with more "miss" than hit) whether the iPod will respond when I hit the Home button.

Overall I like the 3.0 software, but this is REALLY annoying. I did do a complete reset/restore, but that didn't affect this unfortunately.

At times when I double tap the home button, the device will either bring up Music controls (which is what I want), or go into the search page (which I don't want).
