While we're moaning . . .

It really annoys me that when you press [shift] the lower-case letters become upper-case (which is great) but the numerals row doesn't turn into punctuation symbols.

Also, try starting a sentence with one of the punctuation symbols from the top row. It'll drive you insane.

ive been able to touch type fine except for the trackpad feature which has made touch typing un-usable for me. ive been able to type fast enough that often two fingers come down at basically the same time and activates the $%^$@# trackpad feature, which then causes me (because it happens so fast i cant react fast enough) to highlight my last bit of text and delete it.

How do you unintentionally highlight text? I thought touching with two fingers just moved the cursor. In order to select text, I have to first tap and hold a word until the pop-up menu comes up, then tap "select." Then I can use two fingers to move the highlight marks to select more texts. In fact, if there's a faster way to get into select text mode, I'd love to learn that.

I can still type fine, and I also love the trackpad feature, but it does piss me off sometimes. Same issue where I'll be typing and it'll randomly select the last word I typed and I type over it.

If it's like the iPad Air and mini, you have to press shift twice, but not too fast. Extremely annoying.

The full-size keyboard is definitely an improvement, but I can still type faster with a "real" keyboard.

Thanks. I tried this, and it seems very finicky. Sometimes double tap will indeed allow me to go into select text mode, other times, it would just type two random letters where my fingers land. I wish they'd added a little button to go into trackpad mode, instead of making you tap anywhere with two fingers.

Thanks for sharing this, I must have been doing it be accident a lot recently (iPad Air 2, still saving for the Pro!) and was starting to wonder if it was a bug!

Or a simple setting to turn it off! I simply can't type the way I type with it and has made the keyboard pretty useless for me. Luckily I like the smart keyboard a lot.
