Hey all, this is my first post and I';m having a very frustrating problem. Just picked up a 32GB Touch yesterday and loaded it up with music and videos from the newest version of iTunes yesterday as well (on my desktop PC). I also downloaded 4 apps (XPlane 9, SPG, Facebook, Pandora) and they all worked great. Well, The problem started when I synced with my PC laptop next. It synced everything up (I clicked "manually manage music and videos") and I went ahead and let it sync the applications. After unplugging the Touch, the apps would not work at all. Basically they would go the the title page, flash up and disappear.

So far, I have fully restored the Touch, hard reset it and reinstalled everything. I have also deleted the apps and tried re-downloading them as well...all to no avail, as well as going into the general setting and reset through there as well. The only apps that do not work are the ones I personally dl'd.

Can someone please help me out with this? Last resort is that I'm going to return this Touch and just get another.

edit* I have also dl'd a free app after the restore and reset and the free app did not load as well. I did the download through the touch and not through iTunes.

You are experiencing the classic symptoms of an iTunes authorization issue. Is the PC authorized with the same iTunes account you used to purchase the apps directly onto the iPod touch? If not, authorize the computer, resync the apps and then retest.

Ok, both computers are authorized under the same account and I did not have a problem swapping back and forth with my iPod classic. Any other suggestions? I would really hate to have to take this back a re-install everything again.

Well, I called Apple support and they told me I have a defective unit. Awesome. Sooo, right now I am restoring it so the Bestbuy employees don't get free music and I'm going to return it for another. Hopefully, I have no issues the second time around.
