Do you mean the TRACKPAD or the MAGIC MOUSE? Have you looked at System Preferences > TRACKPAD / MOUSE yet?
What Mac OS X version do you use?

What MacBook do you have then? The one with the replaceable battery or the one without?
Btw, it seems you have the older MacBook, but know, that the trackpad button does not have a right or left side, unless you have some additional software to have configured it that way.
To right click with the trackpad button, put index and middle finger onto the trackpad and use the thumb to click the trackpad, that is how it worked with my older MacBook, though I preferred the two-finger tap.
Can you make a screenshot of System Preferences > Trackpad and attach it to your next post?

Have you tried what I recommended or can you provide screenshots?
And if it is a hardware issue, which is what I want to find out with my questions (are they understandable?), do you still have Apple Care or some other kind of warranty cover?

My early 2008 has one button underneath the trackpad and it's only for clicking "left clicking", it's just one wide button. It doesn't have right click, so are you sure you could do that? It doesn't sound right, and i didn't think any mac had a left and right click button? Just making sure.. Because it makes sense that your right side acts like the left side as the whole button should have the same function and not two..

Too "right click" i just click with two fingers on the trackpad instead of one, that pops up the menu for me.

Yes, to right click you need to put two fingers on the surface of the trackpad and then click the button. If you have the trackpad with the separate button, then the two fingers must be on the touch surface, not the button itself.

You can also just copy/cut/paste using key commands, which are faster anyhow.
