Prob because it's the only way to get black band without having to purchase an additional band on sport models. Also, people like me only plan on putting on the case for hiking and mountain biking trips.

While the idea of a case on my Apple Watch is not for me personally, I do use a Spigen case for my iPhone. I take it out of the case from time to time to clean dust and such from the various openings in the case and the phone still looks basically new.

If you really do want a case for your watch, Spigen makes quality products.

How would anyone know the answer to his question since most people here haven't even received their watches yet?

It's not actually that big of a deal. You can use the report post button and ask the moderators to move it to the proper forum, and sometimes they'll spot it and move it on their own.

someone actually has one of these with real life pictures and can probably answer your scratching questions....

IMO i don't think the real life pictures look so hot.... i really liked their computer rendition of it that you have above and had preordered one with the intention of using it when mountain biking and hiking....

The OP is referring to a different version of the case with built in screen shield

No, it's not going to scratch any part of the phone, that be a stainless steel or aluminum model. Wearing no case on the watch will essentially guarantee scratches. Some people either aren't bothered by the scratches, or believe their devices have no scratches when they're actually covered in them.

I seriously doubt this case is going to scratch the device. I ordered one and it should be here today, finally! Looking forward to wearing it proudly. Have always used the tough armor series on my phones and will continue to do so, no scratches ever from their products. But I'll post again once I get it.
 
Got mine today. Looks good. The main Body is soft rubber and the faceplate with the shield is solid plastic. Very light. You have to click the faceplate on the body when it is mounted

Curious as well. My only concern is the button. Is it rubber behind it, or will the metal button directly contact the button on the watch....?

SG sport here as well and interested in this case not for daily use, but for extra protection when warranted.
 
I ordered the orange one for mountain biking and other activities where I would be worried about shattering the watch.

Would love to see the pictures of the tough armor on the watch though if anyone got theres and also has a watch.
 
Mine will arrive around 5/22.

So you put the rubber over the watch and then snap the face plate over it? wonder how tight the fit is.
 
Guy on Amazon reviews states it's difficult to access the scroll function/digital crown with the case on........interested to hear what others have to say once it starts arriving.

On the rugged armor (the one without the screen shield), there is rubber behind the button and the button itself is not metal.
 
Yeah, I saw that, problem is that for my purposes the Tough Armor one with the screen protector would be what I'd want. Something that can take all around abuse when needed, but 90% of the time the watch will run naked (aka fully, I'd rather not have a screen protector on full time).

Me too, I just meant that someone mentioned the rubber part on the rugged armor is almost exactly the same as the rubber on the tough armor. Most likely the button will have rubber backing on it as well just like the rough armor.
