Get an HP 2710 so you can print wirelessly :)
how does that work, why not use an airport express (which i have)
But in school i can't have wireless internet is their away to set up wireless printing using the Airport. If not how does the wireless with the 2710...

If money is not a BIG issue, then get a laser. It will have really fast print speeds and ink way cheaper...
I like Fuji Xerox Phasers.. Dad has one at work.. Very good prints, but that was a $6000AU printer... Free black ink for life :D

But they have some good lower end lasers too, <$1000AU .... So about $400US for one particular model I believe. These are colour, btw.

Upcheck for Canon

I also recommend a Canon. We use the i960 at work and been very pleased with it. At home I have a new iP4000 which I think is even better than the i960 (even though it only uses 4 cartridges vice 6). I almost got the iP5000 but read several reviews that really liked the iP4000 as being at least as good if not better in print quality. Canon has a $70 rebate offer on several of their printers if purchased within the same time frame as a new computer (doesn't have to be from the same merchant):

Hope this helps

Ill recommend canon also. I work as a canon rep and own both the ip4000 and ip5000. I love them both

steer clear of the hp8250. There are alot of not so good things about it. It claiming 24 cent photos but only if you buy the ink and paper in their package. The hp advance paper feels cheap (only last about 20 years) and is the only way to get "14 second" photos which are closer to 20-25 seconds (still impressive) but the quality isnt good. If you want decent prints you need to go with their premium paper. This bumps the prices of photos much higher as it will also use more ink on the photo. The photos using their premium paper are also not water and smudge resistant. Reviews on its text printing quality were average at best.

Bottom line if your looking for quality, performance and price get a canon. Canon gives you performance without sacrificing quality.

I bought 2 canon printers, one a multifunction and one a normal printer, both sucked....
so i'm a little weary about buying another one....
Their known for their optics in cameras and camcorders.....

edit - i saw canon updated their printers

I have the 8150. It does have decent print quality, but the cartridges are SUPER pricey. The first time I had to replace all 3 at once, it ended up costing MORE than the stupid printer in the first place. I wish I had went with something else.

what's up with the new printers, what would recomond in the price range of around 200- 250 or more for a multi-function one...
I care most about print quality from printing a photo...
