The trackpad has become almost completely non responsive. The curser however will move on its own, without touching the track pad. The computer is currently 2 ft away from me and is moving on its own. There are no Bluetooth devices and Bluetooth is not even activated. It always moves to the left side of the screen. It will also open a menu on the screen and create a new folder as if right clicked with the mouse or Control/click on the trackpad??? It will then randomly open one of the new folders. The same thing happens when a mouse is plugged in to either USB port. The airport is turned off and has no other internet connectivity.

Macbook Pro OX S 10.6.8 2.3 GHz Intel Core i5 4GB 1333 MHz DDR3 - entered service March 2011

Any help to solve this would be greatly appreciated.

Ive posted my reply in another thread but i will say the same sort of.

Ive had my 2011 MBP a year now, and its been a gem, then I got a wireless magic mouse and keyboard. No problems ever, apart from the past few days. Both peripherals are really jittery. I know its definitely the wifi and bluetooth because I tried to open a new network, and they both work fine. Problem is, the internet wont then work because I dont know how to setup the same config as my original router. Is it worth buying a bluetooth dongle USB for this or just get wired devices and USB hub? This is a pain the arse!

^^

I have a similar issue. I have a magic mouse, and keyboard and theyre really jittery too. Both are within maybe 1 foot from my MBP on a desk?
