I have a Macbook 2,1 that has been running Windows 7 for years now. Earlier this week the hard drive failed, and so I replaced it and installed Windows 8 Pro 64-bit. In general it's running very well, but there are a couple driver issues. The most annoying one is that the trackpad no longer has two-finger scrolling functionality. I've been looking for a driver to resolve the issue, and have had no luck- however, I know it's possible since we had the scrolling working on Windows 7. Of course, I have no memory of how I got that working back when it was installed. There are about a million threads on the subject of Macbook trackpads using Windows, however, there are a couple things that make my situation different: There's no Boot Camp involved... no OSX installed on this machine at all. I just formatted the hard drive then installed Windows to it. It's a pretty old MacBook. It's 64-bit, which means Apple's support, already pretty minimal for Windows stuff, is basically totally inapplicable. The age thing, for example, prevents me from using trackpad++, which many people seem to have had good results with. I do have BootCamp 4.0 and have tried installing the touchpad driver from that, but have had no luck. Any other ideas? Thanks in advance!
