My works M1 Air trackpad all of sudden started working intermittentl. I can press it and it clicks all the way round the pad but when i do so it either doesn’t work or it opens up a new tab in safari or a finder window when i open up a item from the dock. If I restart computer it’s fine but then starts again after an hour or so.
Edit: when clicking on an application from the dock it opens finder and the applications folder with the app i clicked on is highlighted.
No liquids have been spilt and no drops have occurred.
