Just got my 2011 15" MB Pro 2.0 GHz, with Hi-res antiglare screen. I had the black macbook before, so this is my first real experience with the "new" TrackPad. I am however unsure if it carries a defect; the left part of the TrackPad will rarely respond to clicks, and the right side does require some force. The "clicking" sound from the trackpad occurs every time I click, but I am not getting a response on the screen every time.
Is this normal - or should I return it? I am aware of the touch-click setting, but I like using real buttons.
