Hi everyone.

I got a 2013 model 13 inch MacBook Pro retina 2.6 ghz i5 for Christmas. I was so excited to take it out of the box on Christmas. When I went to set it up the trackpad followed my motions, but it was impossible to get a response when clicking with the trackpad. I had to call support on christmas and set up the Mac to access my desktop from only the keyboard.

I have since managed to fix it and am now happy but I wonder if anyone has had issues like that right out of the box.

Also mail would not detect my email clients outgoing server and had to manually put it in.

Thanks
Sarah

I have a late-'12 15" MBPR and I've had the trackpad replaced twice in the last year (gotta have Applecare!) for behaving as you described. It suddenly became unresponsive - to pressure.

I would have it looked at at the Genius Bar of your local Apple store.
