trackpad lost when imac goes to sleep

Hi Guys i recently got the magig pad from mac and, because my imag did not had a onbord bluetooth i had to get a dongle(belkin). Now every time the iMac goes to sleep the connection to the pad is lost! I have to remove the dongle and reinsert to get the pad going again! Rather anoying The wireless keybord is not effected.
Any ideas???????

What iMac do you have that doesn't have bluetooth onboard? Just curious.

Imac 5.2 1.8 ghz
The first imacs came out without bluetooth. If u wanted BT you could get a factory upgrade for about 50$ my dongle did cost me 2.5$
