Are you on your original battery?

13 inch original battery. Not swollen. Fits perfectly still. But last time it said change soon.

It might be swelling on the top, the part of the battery that comes in contact with the track pad. Unless you can take out the battery to check, I wouldn't rule it out.

The trackpad will stop working (clicking) if the battery is swelling from the top. Did you take it out to check? Even a small bulge is enough.

To make sure, puill it out and use the computer without it. If the trackpad behaves correctly, you've found your problem.
