Ok so I received the magic keyboard today and i love it. The only thing is that sometimes when i click on the address bar it does nothing i have to click it again. also happens if i click on a YouTube video sometimes. Is this normal or could it be a software issue. Anyone else experiencing this. Thank u

I have been also experiencing the same issue, in addition to that sometimes the two finger scrolling on pages won’t work or it’ll be intermittent. Looks to be software related, because restarting my iPad Pro fixes it.

Hopefully its software related. I switched to tap to click and haven’t had that problem so far.

I’ve had similar issues, with the address bar lightly, but twice I’ve lost the trackpad entirely (no cursor). Once I rebooted it works tho (and across days). I’m figuring there are still some bugs in 13.4 (I can’t shake the feeling that this was supposed to be in 14, but Apple saw the work from home stuff coming and pushed it out a little early)

I’m also getting issues with two finger scrolling now and again becomes unresponsive although it does come back after you wait a bit, whilst in this state three finger gestures are unaffected and you are able to single click anything so I’m thinking its almost definitely a software thing rather than hardware, as if it was hardware it would affect all multi touch actions.

Weird, I’m seeing this today in Safari for the first time too....

Restarting Safari doesn’t help.
Scrolling is still smooth with cursor keys or dragging the scroll bar.
It is system-wide when it happens...

But yes, a restart fixes it.

Just for info, that’s happened to me once in over a week of pretty much constant use, so I guess it is one of those software bugs.

Just started happening to me today. I can't select or click on anything with trackpad. It's definitely software as I've detached the MKB and tried with a Magic Mouse and I still can't select anything with pointer. I can scroll, etc. I've restarted and reset iPad to no avail.
Update: I connected a trackpad and it worked fine and lo, the MKB is working again. I've disconnected the trackpad and MKP continues to work. Weird!

Now it’s happened to me a 3rd time, and this time restarting hasn’t fixed things. Urgh. Keyboard still works fine as well as power pass through.

Edit: So I was able to connect a mouse and the cursor worked fine, but it didn’t wake the trackpad back up. On my third restart, I unplugged power pass through, and lo the pad has re-awoken. I did submit a feedback form, but I’m going to see if they’re aware of these issues on official Apple help.

I’m having the same two finger scrolling issue in Safari. I tried pulling the iPad of the MK, no joy. A hard restart seems to bring it back. This is happening several time day. BTW the iPad is charged and not plugged in

I can recreate the two finger scrolling issue pretty much every time now, all you need to do is just keep tapping the touchpad for a couple of minutes with your finger (tap not click) and it occurs, two finger drag stops working and you have to reseat the iPad in the case to fix it.

Explains why its so intermittent.

Its just happened again but re-seating didn’t work, needs a hard restart unfortunately.

Just got my Magic Keyboard yesterday. After playing with it since then just a little while ago scrolling became inconsistent and erratic, in all fields not just Safari. A restart fixed it.
