Trackpad Problem!

The other night, accidentally some sauce fell on my laptop, since then the trackpad is acting erratic
Any advice on what to do here?
 
I too have a trackpad problem. It DOES work, but, only in one small, particular spot. Its a macbook 13 alum., 2008 variety.

Ideas anyone?
