Do you think that the new trackpad hardware brings more responsive & smoother tracking to the table in addition to multi-touch? It seems like it to me.

I think it's definitely more sensitive. Now I like it but at first I would brush it while typing and lose window, cursor.

The sensitivity along w. size takes getting used to. Now I use the MB and can tell a big difference.

The screen-touchpad relative response is definitely on a par with the better Windows touchpads. Unlike the MBP's I don't itch to pick up a mouse at every opportunity. Could be a size/placement thing, could be a pad thing, I don't know.

Is the speed improved on the touchpad? In OSX I always felt that the speed of the cursor was really slow. I have used an iBook G4 and a Macbook 1st gen. I installed windows on the macbook and the max cursor speed was too fast. I had to turn it down. However in OSX I have the speed set to the max and I would still like it to be just a tad bit faster.

Is the MBA any different?
