I was wondering, if i get my new iPhone on Friday, when should I expect to receive the trade in kit package by mail, or do I receive an email on where to mail in the old iPhone?

I think you probably get your shipping label by email and they suggest to use the same box you received the new iphone.
Probably sometime this week. And it’s an actual separate box to mail your phone in since it’s a third party company. I did it last year for the watch.

Same here last year. Separate box came via FEDEX vs UPS for the phone. It has shipping label etc included to send old phone back.
Is there any info on the shipping status for the trade in box that shows up on your order info on the apple store online? Like a tracking number or anything? I see the return box is listed as requested in a separate section of my order.
I'm not seeing that anywhere in any order I have with Apple. Where do you see this? They royally screwed up my upgrade last year, so I'm still worried it will happen again.
I don’t see it yet either. I thought it wasn’t there until I received phone but could be wrong. Give them a call and share what you find out
It’s on the order info page showing I requested a trade in. No tracking numbers for the phone or the return box anywhere yet. Though I found my phone by searching by reference at UPS.
I decided to trade in my iPhone 7 Plus for the iPhone 11. I don’t have an Apple store nearby, so I decided to order online. I don’t expect delivery of the new phone until Sept 30 - Oct 2. I hope that they don’t send the trade in kit too much before that. I don’t want to be without a phone while I wait for the new one.
I think that the trade in information said that I am supposed to send the old phone in within 14 days of receiving the trade in kit.

I ordered an X R for my wife last week and the return kit came UPS the next day with a return label inside.
Also on the App Store page where it shows my order for an 11pro ,it also shows return info for my x trade in.

Same here. It says this:

Once your new device ships, our trade-in partner will send you a kit so you can easily return your current device.
If you use ATT Next, you print a label and reuse the box your shipment came in.
"We recommend that you send in your trade-in using the same shipping box that your new iPhone came in."
Its Wednesday and I still have not received the trade in kit e-mail or anything as to where to mail in my phone, has anyone received any e-mails on this yet?
