Trade in MBP - time to get money

Hi,

I am trading in my 2018 15" MBP. I just sent it today. Does anyone have any experience with this, and some idea of how long it takes before you get paid?

For my iPhone trade in it took about two weeks for one and four weeks for the other. No joke. Much longer than it used to and they were also stricter about “normal wear and tear”. For one of my phones, they sent it back for having small, mild damage where before it would have fallen under “normal”.

I checked recently and Apples trade in program section of their site said that in store trade in is only available for Apple's mobile devices (iPhones, iPads, wearables). Mac products have to be shipped in to Apple's recycle program thing.

I traded in my phone this year and the whole process took about a week.

I did this recently. They received it on 11/19, inspected 11/20, approved for payment 11/23, and paid on 11/26.

I also did it recently. Phobio received it on 12/3, inspection compete 12/7, paid on 12/9. No surprises, second time I have used them/Apple Trade in on a laptop.

Was the amount you were paid the same as the initial quote?

yes, both times.

interesting. costco also uses Phobio. I think i might jump on this as it will give me 4 years of warranty if i buy through costco!
