It says in the app after they receive your phone, it should be 3 days to inspect your phone. Have people experienced longer times? It’s 3 days for me. The trade in went to a PA address. Would it help to call Apple or since it is a separate company doing it, it wouldn’t help? Maybe since a new phone just came out, the turn around times are longer?

Mine has been at the PA location since last Thursday. I have called Apple twice and they have been no help. They told me its taking longer than usual and will be 2 to 3 weeks. I was and am not happy with this.

I just looked at apple’s trade in site and it says turn around (not being iphone specific) is 2 to 3 weeks. They shouldn’t say 3 days in the app then. I imagine they are flooded with trade-ins and since it is a 3rd party company, apple probably doesn’t have info in its database on it. It’s good to know others are in the same boat.

When I called yesterday she told me the 3 days is an estimate. I said it doesn't say estimate! It clearly says I will get an update within 3 business days. It's now going on 5 and no update. They should at least send something out saying they are behind and it's being addressed.

Agreed. I would have waited to trade in at the store if I knew this was the case.

Seems like quite a few of us here on the forums finished up today and all received what was expected..
I’m from central Ca. not sure where the others are located.
 
My iPhone 7 was accepted to. Been there about two weeks at Carlisle Pa. Got full amount as apple stated.
 
My case is different, I had originally placed 3 iPhone orders with trade in options, 2 were under my name and the other one was under my wife's name, well i ended up returning one of the 2 that were under my name, in the meantime the trade in boxes were on their way to my home and arrived about 5 days later, well, apparently when i sent in my iPhone i put it in the box with the label of the phone i returned back to the store, the problem is the boxes no where is there an order number to match your order, my wife's was fine because the label had her name, but in my case the other two kits had my name on them, well, to make the story short, i put in my iPhone in the the trade in box of the iPhone I returned, and so now it appears they are still waiting for me to ship my phone, i do have the correct tracking number of the other box which was the one i mailed them, but now it seems, apple nor bright star know how to fix this issue, which was not my fault, because as i said earlier the boxes and label don't have the order numbers on them anywhere, just your name. any have any suggestions on how i can fix this issue? Because since 09/30/2019 that they received the phone I have not received my trade in phone back, nor any trade in value amount, my wife already had hers email approving her amount.

Have you tried contacting Apple? That's the only suggestion I have..
 
Yes, all Apple has done is make a note and contact the third party vendor, but they tell me that they dont know if they will be able to process the trade in value, or simply return my phone back, but at this time since 09/30/2019 they received it I am starting to get worry because no phone has been returned nor any trade in value email has been received, Apple just tells me to give it a couple more days. :mad:
