Went in to do tradein into the store this week only for 1400 for a 16 inch macbook pro 2019. Last week it was 1700.

So if you are going to trade in better do it fast

Well there was an article here on MR about that. Didn't know it was that much though. I wonder what changed, or why they decided to drop prices like that.

Prices are always adjusting, new models come out, not long until they lower previous model value.

Yes, the trade-in amounts decrease over time. The only time I've seen them increase was for some iPad models in 2020 because of the shortage, but even then the increase was modest, maybe $35 or so.

Supply and demand. I reckon they have been flooded with trades because no-one wants Intel any more.

i tried selling my i7 16” for over a week. Not one inquiry, so I just traded it in.

A guy in my community is trying to sell a 2020 I9 (5500m 4gb) for $2999 Canadian. I guess he's hoping an early Christmas miracle.

What exact specs did you have?
I never saw a trade in for $1700 on the website.

I have 2.3GHz, 32GB, 1TB, 5500M 8GB. Originally paid $3299. I was quoted at $1420.

I’ve been watching listings on eBay and they’re selling for $1800. I just don’t know if it ends up being a wash with all the seller fees.

I’m still sitting on my i9. Prices are plunging on the used market. If the prices are too low I might consider repurposing it to run Windows or hand it down to my family.

My 2019 i9 64gb 550M 2tb dropped from $1770 to 1700 today. My M1 MBP will be here in about a month. Can’t wait.

well i was thinking of selling the intel one, but with the low price, its more efficient and cheaper to buy egpu instead
