Trade MBP 15inch early 2008 for mac mini

Hey guys I'm looking to trade my early 2008 15 inch MBP for a later mac mini.

Would you think the value of my machine is and what could I do to get my hands on a mini. I want to sacrifice my portability for the extra power since I currently use mine as a full time desktop anyways.

Also what HDD/ SSD and ram upgrades could I make to a mini?

If you're able to trade a 5 year old MBP for a current mini you are doing well. Your battery would be shot. How later mini do you want?

Yes you can do SSD and Ram upgrades on the mini. Check OWC or ifixit.
