If you really want to "tinker" then get a G5 case on ebay and build a hackintosh, cant do much more tinkering than that.

Trade Mini to dual G5?

How true...
This is very true. A few years back I saw a PC case that was a G5-clone - even down to the Apple logo, but it was a basic ATX case, so no modding required. I am strongly considering either A) build a Hackintosh, B) save up for an iMac, or C) give in and buy a PC, just for my (admittedly basic) gaming needs. Well, there's option D) sell the WhiteBook and buy an aluminum, but my wife would veto that (she likes her laptop). I feel so let down, after all the "for sure" rumors. Guess that reminds us all of the accuracy of rumors - for the most part, its 0%. I'd say a new Mini is still in the pipe somewhere, but I'm sick of waiting. Yeah, I could always upgrade my Mini a bit more, but I'm still stuck with GMA 950 - and that just plain sucks.
