What should I do if I’m trading in a phone through the Verizon upgrade program (after paying off 12 months) to upgrade to the 12 pro, but my screen is cracked? Can I trade it in and they’ll deduct value from the trade? Or do I have to get it fixed? The Verizon rep on the phone said he wasn’t sure but they might charge me full price for the remaining balance on the phone if the screen is damaged, which sounds crazy since there’s like $500 remaining

It may be worth it to take it to the Apple store and have them fix the screen. That’s what I did. I didn’t have Apple care so it was $279 to fix the screen and as long as I got more on the trade than it cost me to fix it I was cool. If they are saying they would charge you the remaining $500 it is probably worth it to fix it.

Typically their protocol is that the screen would need to be repaired prior to trade in. I've never heard of them taking a cracked screen phone in on the upgrade plan. Even Apple requires you to use one of your AppleCare+ claims to fix the screen b4 they'll accept it back. Unless something's recently changed, that is.
