I’m sorry that I have been very indecisive about this. I guess I jumped the gun and bought this without thinking of my needs vs money.

Ok, so after going back and forth trying different programs, listening to you guys, I will trade my 2.6 32GB 512SSD for a 2.6 16GB 512SSD, both with the 560X.

750.00 savings since the new one is a return less than a month old. The most I even seen my ram usage go to was 17GB, but the memory pressure was still in The green. I think I can live with that.

That was with Lightroom and multiple things opened. My desktop has 32GB, so I’ll do heavier work if need be on that.

lol, I have the same setup as you. 2015 iMac, iPad 12.9, iPhone max, and mbp. I figure the mbp is sort of a mini desktop. don't need full power if I have an alternative.

We did warn you.
Yes, Indeed. But I will tell you this. If I get lucky and get a used setup for much cheaper, then I'm going with that. Thats for dam sure. My mistake, was buying brand new. I like having something first, but saving a ton of money is worth it.

I never had a brand new MBP ever. It felt nice for once.

Can you return/trade in your laptop being over 14 days? 32GB is definitely overkill for most people, though it seems people get it just in case. Its an expensive addon, for a just in case mind set especially since it seems many people upgrade their machines in 3 years or so.

I buy from Adorama, I'm a premier member there. I buy my photography equipment from there as well. They have a 30 day return policy, no questions asked. But, being a premier member, you get 90 days for any purchase. I never ever send anything back, but we are talking about almost a 1/3rd price drop.

They had a 20 day old 2.6 16GB 512 SSD, 560X MBP for 2200 VS my 3000.00. I' going to wait it out a little bit for more to come on the used market and see if I can get maybe a Vega 20 model for that price with the 2.2, 16GB 512SSD. That would be ideal.

They have some awesome deals on 2017 ones, but not sure I want that second gen keyboard. I really would like the new 6-core processors as well.

I already did it. I use pay shipping because it was opened.
You got me thinking when you mentioned Adorama selling used MBP's, they even have a rating chart including OB open box too funny. I started wondering where are they getting these used MBP's if their policy states no returns on some items ie. notebooks, computers once opened. I purchased my 2018 MBP new from them during Black Friday and wasn't aware of the return policy until later but I haven't had any problems and been very happy with the purchase, knock on wood.

You have until Feb 1st the return anything to them as a holiday special. Im a VIP member, so, 90 days is standard. This is my email from them so you can see. They have good prices on used MBPs.

vegas are only available on the 2.6 and 2.9 models

I was thinking you can upgrade it? if not, no bog deal. I can live without it.
no, 2.2 CPU cannot be upgraded to Vega GPUs, it's only an option for the 2.6GHz model.
fwiw, the 2.6 + Vega is probably the sweet spot of the 2018.
