I currently have the Nexus S with Sprint and I am hoping to get the iPhone IF it comes to Sprint... Would I have to extend my contract or buy the phone at full price?

Call Sprint and ask them, depends where you are in your contract length

I am not sure how it works for Sprint but for AT&T if you are close to your 2 year upgrade you can a bit early for the iPhone.
