What I am doing wrong? I see almost every reviewer on YouTube, IG and anywhere else using the Trail Loop with the Ultra, and talking about how comfortable it is. When I ordered the first Ultra last year, I got it with the trail loop, and I wore it for months. The wrist pain never went away. The Alpine Loop, and other Apple bands are just fine with the Ultra. I don’t understand why this bands hurts my wrist. I have had no issues with the sport loop. Been wearing that for years. Anyone else have this issue?

No issues with the Trail Loop here; however, I will say that I’ve found it to be most comfortable when I only pull it like 90-95% of the way to full tightness. YMMV.

How do you keep it from sliding on your wrist?

OP,
You are the first person I have heard of to suffer from wrist pain from the trail loop. It sounds like you may have the band too tight?

Never heard of anyone having wrist pain. Do you have a picture of how tight you're wearing it? The only band that can feel tighter by function of its grooves is maybe the ocean band?

Interesting you say that because I have a friend that says the exact same thing. Wrist soreness with his trail loop as well. I don’t believe I wear it overly tight, and in fact I have worn it loser and it still happens.

That is very unusual given you can wear the Sport Loop without a problem.

Let me dig up a picture.

That’s what I thought too. Similar design. I guess the pressure point is different? I can wear the sport loop really tight without any pain.
I think I see your possible problem after looking again. From what I see, you watch is on top of your wrist. It should be above your wrist. See if that helps.

I have since moved it up. Here is my current position with the solo loop on. My watch won’t go up much higher because my arm gets wider and the watch just gradually slides down.

Much better positioning.

Yeah, and that’s where I have my trail loop, still no good. Not real sure what the deal is. I have tried both having the loop closest to me, and having it away from me. Hoped that would help, but no.

It took me a few attempts to get a sport band to fit my relatively small wrists.

Was about to give up, but I finally found a fit that worked.

Can you still return it?

Really? Like where to put it on your wrist?

Naw I have had these since pretty much launch of last years Ultra. What’s weird is the sport loop is perfect. Most comfortable band I own. For some reason I can figure out the trail loop.

I originally had the S/M, which felt too tight in one fit, and too loose in another.

Exchanged for M/L and found a good fit, once the tail of the strap is inserted.

And this is on a 41mm watch.

I got ya. Yeah I struggle with the sport band as well. Always just in between sizes.

As for the trail loop, I have no idea what else to try. Not sure what a different size would do. I guess the pressure point of the band is just off for me. Sucks cause the Alpine loop is about the only Ultra band I can wear. The Ocean is just not comfortable at all.

I don’t think there’s any problem with just concluding that perhaps the Trail Loop isn’t for you. There’s nothing wrong with that. It’s nice that we have so many options to choose from so everyone can have their own favorites.

Personally, I don’t find the Sport or Ocean Bands to be as comfortable as most people here seem to. My favorite band is the Alpine Loop. But I’m in the minority on both of those and that’s okay, too.
