iPod touch transfer app data w/o restoring from backup?

hello everyone,
sorry if this was posted somewhere else (didnt really look) but anyway.
im getting the new ipod touch when it comes out tomorrow and i was wondering how do i get the saved data from my apps (have a lot of progress on labyrinth 2, doodle jump etc) WITHOUT restoring from backup? is it possible? because there is a lot of leftover junk on the backups that i dont want to bring it all to the new itouch.

You can either restore from a backup or...restore from a backup.

... Or wait until the iPt4 has a jailbreak.

Then you can jailbreak your current iPt (if you haven't already), copy the app's data files from it (most likely in the Documents folder) and copy to the same folder on the new one.

It's not the easiest, but it is possible with current models and hopefully will be later with the iPt4.
