Transfer app from ipod touch to iphone

I'm deciding to buy an iPhone, can I transfer the purchased applications from my iPod touch to it? If so, how? 😕

I did some research and found that it may be done by iTune, but I'm not sure (haven't bought the phone yet). Though, I'm going to buy quite an expensive application. If it cannot be transferred, I'd rather wait till I buy the phone.

When you get your iPhone, just sync with iTunes and you'll have your apps (as long as you sign into the iTunes account where you got the apps for the Touch).
