transfer app purchases from iPhone to iTunes.

hi, i was wondering how do i transfer iPhone app/purchases to iTunes so that restoring my iPhone from a backup would transfer the apps from the PC instead of downloading it.

Usually if you sync/backup to iTunes with your phone attached, it will prompt to transfer purchases to the iTunes computer during the backup.

It doesn't seems to transfer any app purchases during the sync

I think it's under File > Devices

Doesn't seems to work, it's appears that it's syncing then goes off

That hasn't worked for me in over a year. I think it's related to "app-thinning."

You can still download apps directly from the appstore to iTunes, for future use in restoring after a backup. That's what I do.

So I had to download every single app, instead of auto import them for the 1st time?
