Other Transfer AppleCare Monthly to a new phone?

With the preorder on the new 12, I have Apple care monthly on my 11. My question is do I cancel it on the 11 then buy it again on the 12? or is there a way to just continue the subscription on the new phone when I set it up?

When I got my 12 Pro last week in the store, I asked this same question. The Apple rep said I had to add AppleCare+ to the new phone, and cancel my current Iphone 11 Pro Applecare+. He said there wasn't a way to transfer my current Applecare to the new phone.

Thanks! That’s what I thought. Wasn’t sure if they had something in place or not.

Yea you'll have to cancel the subscription for the 11 and add a new subscription to the new one.
