Transfer between 2013 MBA and M1 Mac: type of cable needed?

The MBA has USB-A ports (2013 model). What kind of cable do I need to transfer data between the two? I have USB-C charge and sync cables I got with my Samsung Galaxy Tab S6. Would that work? Or is there a different cable or better way to transfer data to the new laptop?
