Is it possible to transfer files from a digital camera to the iPod 20 GB 4th gen? I'm sure there must be a way! Could someone please point me in the right direction?
I haven't used them, but the Belkin adapters seem like a good idea. I may grab one when I head on my next vacation so I don't have to worry about schlepping around my PBook. Of course, for $100 (for the media reader) I could probably just buy another CF card as a spare... But that wouldn't be as cool 😀
Note that it will eat some battery life since the iPod has to be on to receive the images.

Check out the Belkin iPod Camera Link. I use it to transfer photos from my Digital Rebel XT to my 40 GB 4G iPod. It can take a while for large transfers, but the Camera Link runs on its own AA batteries, so it won't be a huge drain on the iPod.

Hmmm. I've got the DR XT as well - how long does a transfer take, say for 200MB worth of images or so? If it's reasonably quick, it would be worthwhile vs. getting the additional CF card (since I could store 10GB or so on my 40GB 4G).

I transferred about 800 MB in maybe 15 min? I'm not usually in a hurry to transfer photos, so that much time is good enough for me. It can also validate the copies and it puts a "Photo Import" menu on your iPod so you can see that they're there.
