I'm doing field work and want to use one of these nifty GPS dongles that collects GPS points and allows you to link them up with photos on your camera.
IE - Amod AGL3080 GPS Data Logger, GiSTEQ DPL700, or Sony GPS-CS1

However, I don't want to lug my laptop into the field for weight and safety reasons. So my questions are:

1) are there any GPS dongles with removable media cards?

2) If not, is there any way to transfer data (they all use mini-USB cables) to some sort of removable media without a computer?

.mark,

nope, I never found an answer. I got a netbook (for a variety of reasons, not just the gps issue) and had that with me. Sorry 🙁
