Transfer iMessage from iMac to iPhone

Hi all,

I rather foolishly deleted all of the messages I have from a contact which span a few years and haven't created a backup. Fortunately I have the messages on my iMac via syncing, is there anyway I can transfer them back to my iPhone? I've googled this extensively and found nothing.

Any advice would be gratefully received.

A third party app may work. Take a look at "iExplorer" and "iMazing". Neither one is free but might have a trial version you can try out first.

Hi there, thanks for your reply, I'm afraid neither of these apps helps as I can't export from iMac to iPhone.
