Transfer iTunes Library from PC to Mac

Please let me know the best way to transfer my iTunes library from PC to Mac using an external HDD

Connect both to your network, preferably wired since it will be faster and use Migration Assistant.

Just remember in the old PC to open iTunes( after you transferred all the stuff to your Mac) and then use that's PC's iTunes to sign out of the Apple Store & Deauthorize it (in the PC your getting rid of).
