In another month or so I will be migrating from a Windows environment to Mac--an iMac and a Macbook Air. I've been researching how to transfer MS Office 2010 OneNote files on my Windows 10 PC to Notes for Mac. So far, I've come up with this:

1. Save each note on the PC as a single file web page (*.mht).
2. Open the file in Internet Explorer.
3. Save the file as .html.
4. My understanding is that this .html file can now be imported into Notes for Mac.

Since I don't have a Mac yet, would this procedure work?

I have only 19 notes to transfer this way, so even though this is a bit cumbersome, I can live with it. However, is there a faster, more accurate way?

Thanks.

Because the app isn't available in the US. In addition, my understanding is that the only way to back up notes is to use MS OneDrive, which I don't want to do.
OneNote is available in the US. That link looks to be for the Canadian App Store, which is why it doesn’t work in the US.
You are right though that it only works with OneDrive storage.

I've looked at Growly Notes, but I'll probably stick with Notes for Mac--it seems pretty basic, and I don't have complicated notes. So is there a better way to transfer my notes? Thanks!

Apple Notes will import a few file formats, including files exported from Evernote. Maybe there's a way to go from Onedrive to Evernote to Apple Notes.

I guess my initial plan would work best for me. Thanks, cruisin and chrfr, for the info.

Im not on my Windows machine to test, but you should be able to email a onenote page to yourself. Then in mail on the mac, either open the message in Noes, or just do a copy/paste of the data.

My OneNote 2010 places the item in mail as an .mht attachment to be saved or viewed as an .htm file. I can do the same thing in my original plan, so I'm not sure this is an advantage for me, but thanks, anyway.
