Transfer Phone Support Profile?

So in my hurry to preorder last week, I accidentally preordered my iPhone on another family member's Apple ID. Is it possible to transfer the phone to my Apple ID so it shows up in my support profile? I assume this is something that is best to do on Friday after I get and activate the phone?

Yeah just delete it from their profile on Friday and add it to yours.
