I really want to get a Note 4, but the biggest thing holding me back is how easy or difficult is it to use on a mac? Coming from iPhones, it's plug and play, but I never had an android device so i don't know what to expect. I do know they aren't as compatible as iPhones, but just exactly how difficult is it to manage? I am mainly concerned with photos. I use the camera on my iphone quite often and like to sync with iPhoto. Does iPhoto launch when you plug in an android phone and select the "camera PTP"?

I think it should as long as you change the connection to PTP

I use iPhoto to manage my photo library and never had to plug it in to transfer photos.

My solution: Use Dropbox, turn on automatic camera upload (over wifi only to avoid excessive use of data) and then set up an Automator script on my Mac to automatically move any photos and video from the camera upload folder in Dropbox into my iPhoto library. Works so well I use it on any of my smartphones--Android or iOS.

Just connect to PC and transfer via USB. Should be quite easy I guess.
