Transfer regular SIM to Micro SIM (For IP4)

With next iPhone coming out, I've decided to upgrade.
My mom has the buggy iPhone 3G, so I'm giving her my IP4.
How will I get the current 3G SIM to fit in the 4?
Can I get one from AT&T or cut the one she has right now?

Ask AA&T
The old iPhone purchase page had info stating that you could just ask AA&T.
Can't see it in the new layout.

You can have AT&T give you a new microsim with her account info or try to cut it yourself.

You could cut it your self or you could get a micro sim card cutter

I'm in the same situation 😛
My mum has my old 3G and its shocking now. Shes getting my ip4 when i upgrade. SIM can be easily cut down - i have one in my phone right now.

That's not exactly true.

OP, you use the tutorials qtaran111 suggested or you can easily purchase a micro sim-cutter on eBay.

I've had a dozen of them cut down in 4 countries and never seen an official outlet without a SIM cutter. I would not hesitate to walk into an AT&T store and expect them to cut down my SIM card for free.

It's entirely possible however that the iPhone 5 will no longer use a SIM card...
