This will be my first experience the eSIM. I have a secondary iPhone 12 Pro Max which uses a SIM card. I am giving this one to my Brother. How do I transfer the account from the old iPhone to the new iPad. looking on line it looks easy, Verizon is my provider. I just log into the iPad with the iPhone account and I set it up from there. This seems to easy 🤔 The iPhone 12 has the same account as my 14 pro Max, but it has a different phone number.

You may want to talk to Verizon. A tablet line may be cheaper than a phone line so a direct swap may not be what you want.
That is what I will do. This is will be the first cell enable iPad I have had. I always have my iOS devices on the same account.

This is what is says at the Verizon site. I will need to talk to Verizon anyway because I want to remove the 12 Pro Max from my account.
