Transfering photos from iPhone to Laptop

I have my 3G synced with my iMac at home, I do not use my laptop because it is too slow for syncing and what not. Well, I will be leaving on vacation for a few weeks, thus I'm bringing my iPhone and laptop. I'll be taking pics with the iPhone, How would I get em off the phone to my laptop without iTunes freaking out and replacing all my stuff? Image Capture? iPhoto and like force quit iTunes? Thanks
 
Just uncheck the sync when connected option in Itunes on your laptop. And then you can use either Image Capture, or iPhoto. I recommend iPhoto

OK where is that? I see "Disable auto synching iPhones and iPods" That it?
