Transferring Apps

I have an Iphone 4 with a bunch of books on it and i just got an iPad. Is there a way i can put the books from my Iphone onto the iPad? Thanks!

you do that via iTunes. just select the content you want on your iPad and sync it to the device.

Will i have to plug them both in at the same time?

No, the iPhone and iPad will have to be connected one at a time. If your iPhone syncs automatically when connected, it will transfer all purchases from the phone to your computer, including books. Then disconnect the iPhone, connect the iPad and go to the Books tab. Tell iTunes to sync everything or just the particular books or PDFs and press apply to begin syncing.
