transferring contacts from iOS 13 to iOS 12.4.6?

Long story short, my iPhone 8 w/ iOS 13 crashed and I transferred by SIM card to an iPhone 6. When I tried to transfer my contacts from backup, it says I can't because my contacts were backed up on iOS 13 and can't be used on an iPhone 6 w/ iOS 12.4.6. Do you know if there is a way around this?

Aside from manually entering contact info into iOS 12, you can check if third party software can export the contacts into some more common format, like contact card.
