transferring contacts from sim card

My sister popped her sim card into my iphone, but her contacts arent showing. Is there a way to transfer all of that information onto the iphone's contact list?

I have never owned a GSM phone so i dont know how any of this works.

It won't work on the old iphone but it will on the 3G.

I didnt think iPhone kept contacts on the card, they are actually on the phone internal memory.

I know that was the case with my BB Pearl.

I couldn't see the installer icon on my 3g? do I need to plug in the computer to see?

With the new 2.0 update you can import sim contacts without any additional software. This comes on the 3g standard. Just goto Settings > Mail > Import SIM Contacts.
