I answer a FaceTime call on my iPhone, but I want to switch to my iPad. Can I transfer it?

Yes. Tap “Audio” on the active call screen and tap your iPad as an available device.

You must have Handoff enabled, all devices must be on the same Wi-Fi network and in Bluetooth range.

What the previous poster said works for audio calls, but I do not believe there is a way to do that for video calls.

Thanks guys. Even if there’s no way to do it it’s nice to know I wasn’t missing something.

Hmm, what if you add yourself to the video call - can one person join twice? Then once you’re in on the second device hang up on the first?

I didn’t try but I know for a fact that I can call myself using FT audio so I think that would be possible

I don't seem able to call myself even using just FaceTime Audio. Is there a trick to it?

Not sure but I‘m guessing you need to have multiple email addresses or phone and email linked to your FaceTime account.

I just tried that again and it works
I went to my contact card (with my phone number and my email, both associated with my Apple ID and FaceTime), pushed the FaceTime audio button and my iPad started to ring. I answered and the call went through as if I was calling someone else

Oh yeah, works for video too. Strange, this wasn't working for me last time I tried it. One thing I noticed though - my own contact (ie the item for me in Contacts) was missing, so I've recreated it. However, when I tested before I had typed in my phone number and it still didn't work. Perhaps it only works for contacts? <shrugs>
