Transferring iMovie files and sources to a new computer?

I have just bought a new 2.0 macbook, and I was wondering how I could get an iMovie HD '06 (roughly 15GB all told) file, including the video source, off an imac and onto my new macbook.

Should I use an EHD? A simple USB connection? Burn to DVD?

Any links or experience would be greatly appreciated.

Direct ethernet connection is likely the fastest.

okay, I'll use an ethernet cable, but I'm not sure how to transfer the video sources and files.
